Retirement Planning Services
Maps, not models
One of the things clients notice about our retirement planning services is it is more about charting a course, than it is about "selling financial plans," or what become antiquated the moment after you prepare them.
Retirement isn't a finish line. Planning for it should also be an ongoing process.
We call this approach making maps and not models. With maps, we have a destination in mind, but recognize that life requires flexibility. Sophisticated retirement projection models are far too often flawed with too many assumptions, and present a future that we can be sure won't happen.
We'll cover a projection, but just like highway traffic may change the course you take, our approach encourages regular reviews, and a holistic approach to weighing life's trade-offs. Your advisor should speak to you about tax strategies, as well as financial risks and opportunities, and not just where to rollover your 401(k).
Our retirement planning service is delivered on a flat-fee basis, so you know what you will be receiving for the cost. Retirement planning clients can also purchase a detailed investment recommendation which is a holistic view into all of your available investment options, through workplace plans as well as your own savings.
How We're Different
Tax review. Where should you save? That requires knowing taxes and your specific benefits and opportunities.
A holistic view. We've reviewed and worked with low-cost online plans and found many to be lacking, leaving you without the details you need to implement your plan.
An investment plan based on science, not speculation. If you're an expert, we'll give you a road map to follow; if you need a little more support we can implement with our investment services. Your plan will take into account all of your specific workplace investment options and outside investments.
Regular reviews. We'll contact you regularly and want to discuss your changing circumstances at least annually. Feel free to contact us whenever you need.
A real, qualified advisor. Some low-cost firms utilize a sales-force and inexperienced advisors. Not here.
